About

My creative, research and scholarship interests include cultivating high impact communities of purpose and possibility, networked learning, formal and informal online learning environments, online and blended communities of practice, heutagogy, self-directed learning, open learning environments, digital citizenship, socio-cultural implications of digital culture, the diffusion of innovation in learning environments, disruptive innovation in education, historical research as a tool for managing change and innovation, digital literacy, online identity management, virtual teaming, online and hybrid project-based learning, service learning in online environments, and the philosophy of Christian education.

I currently serve as Assistant Vice President of Academics, Associate Professor of Education, and Director of the M.S. in Educational Design & Technology at Concordia University Wisconsin. I completed my undergraduate studies at CUW with a B.A. in education, history, and theology. I also have a M.A. in curriculum and instruction (Concordia University Chicago), a Master of Liberal Studies (University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee), and an Ed.D. in instructional technology (Northern Illinois University).
